Protect MMIW

It is time for congress and the United States to stop lip service without action. It is their responsibility and oath to push for the complete and thorough implementation of Savanna’s Act.

As you probably know, the Savanna act was named after Savanna Lafontaine-Greywind, who was murdered in 2017 at 22 years of age. She is one example of too many Indigenous women and girls finding the same fate.

The murder rate of Indigenous women is three times higher than non-Native women. It is the third leading cause of death for Indigenous women; over 84 percent of them have experienced violence.

Make a stand that our sisters matter!
